Swirling surf of Turimetta Beach // Sydney, Australia

Description

People often talk about the golden rules of photography, thought what they are exactly I don't know or care. The point is that they're guides rather than rules and taking this set of photographs I broke the one about not taking photographs during the middle of the day. Ok I understand that the light during the middle of the day is often harsh but that means you have to get up early to stay out late. To which I often say no thanks. Anyway, the purpose of these photographs was practice using my neutral density filters and what better place to practice than Turimetta Beach on Sydney's Northern Beaches. This is an 8 second long exposure of the surf letting it swirl and do it's thing.
