Sea rocks of Mangawhai Heads // Northland, New Zealand

Anybody that knows us knows we love to travel so heading over to Auckland for a long weekend is not out of the ordinary for us. When we do travel we always get out and about and explore our surroundings. This trip it was suggested we check out Mangawhai Cliff Walk and it sure didn't disappoint.

I look this photograph looking due east from Mangawhai Heads Beach looking out to sea. I used polariser on to cut through the glare allowing the water in the foreground to be crystal clear. I love the contrasting blues of the sky and oceans too. The tide was out and the outcropping volcanic breccia along the shoreline made for an interesting foreground.
