Sunburst through Michelangelo’s David // Florence, Italy
Late in 2018, we had the pleasure of spending a few days and nights in Florence. We went and saw Michelangelo’s David. This isn't the typical front on view you typically see, I liked the way the sun shone though creating a nice little star burst. David used to stand outside Palazzo Vecchio until 1873 when it was moved inside to the Galleria dell'Accademia. Being made of marble and susceptible to degradation from environmental conditions (think wind, rain, etc) that was probably a good idea.
