Sunrise over Baie de Sainte-Marie // Noumea, New Caledonia
Back in August 2017, I was lucky enough to get to travel to Noumea for work. I knew I would have some down time so I packed my camera and trusty tripod. My photographs from the trip are what I would consider shots of opportunity, that is venture out, find a good spot, settle in and start snapping. This was a long exposure (4 seconds) so it must have been one of my first photographs using a neutral density filter. On this occasion, I ventured out to the breakwater near Park Pierre Vernier, just a stones throw from my hotel to catch the sunrise over Baie de Sainte-Marie. My composition was helped by the small sailing boat entering the harbour.
